NOTHING COMES CLOSE TO A CELEBRITY VACATION

You may have seen that earlier this month Celebrity Cruises launched a new brand campaign entitled Nothing Comes Close. As a Captain’s Club member, you know a Celebrity vacation stands above the rest. Come aboard and discover a world where Nothing Comes Close to the elevated experiences and unmatched offerings that await on a premium journey at sea. We ask our members all the time why they choose Celebrity Cruises, and the answer always amounts to Nothing Comes Close. You trust us with your hard-earned vacations. And in return, we will work tirelessly to ensure that wherever you go with us, you’ll discover why Nothing Comes Close to Celebrity Cruises.

We just made history. For the first time ever, Celebrity visited Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s award-winning private island. Guests aboard Celebrity Reflection were the first to arrive on April 22, followed by Celebrity Beyond on April 23. “Guest feedback inspired the new shorter Caribbean itineraries, designed to offer year-round opportunities to unwind with loved ones,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, President of Celebrity Cruises. “Introducing Perfect Day at CocoCay presents new experiences for Celebrity guests seeking quick beach getaway escapes close to home.”

Whatever your speed, Perfect Day at CocoCay has so many ways to escape the everyday. If you want to switch gears visit Coco Beach Club® where you can take a dip in the beachfront infinity pool, indulge in a top-notch dining experience or soak up endless views of blue with the first Overwater Cabanas in the Bahamas complete with overwater hammocks, an individual slide into the crystal-clear waters below and plenty of inclusive amenities. Traveling without children? Head straight for Hideaway Beach℠, an exclusive adults-only beachfront party in paradise. Kick your feet up to non-stop music spun by DJs. Swim up to the Hideaway Bar℠, or visit any of the other four bars, for an expertly crafted cocktail or two. Celebrity Reflection and Celebrity Beyond will visit Perfect Day at CocoCay on three to seven-night sailings, departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. All vacations are great, but Nothing Comes Close to a Caribbean escape with Celebrity.

Don’t forget: Our 2024 President’s Cruise is fast approaching. Join us on June 23 aboard groundbreaking Celebrity Beyond as we visit Bimini, Grand Cayman, and Perfect Day at CocoCay. From one-of-a-kind events to unique festivities, curated tours, including a President’s Cruise Bimini beach club takeover, this is one sailing you don’t want to miss.

And if you are already booked, limited space is still available to join Celebrity President Laura Hodges Bethge for a special lunch and tour of the historic Grand Old House on Grand Cayman. Enjoy the Caribbean sounds, activations, flavors, and breeze, as you embrace the best that Grand Cayman has to offer. Mingle with members and Celebrity Shoreside team and indulge in an all-inclusive lunch with open bar and Cayman-inspired dishes and desserts. If you haven’t reserved your spot yet, now’s the time.

What started as a dream at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in France is now a reality that’s turning heads in every port it visits. And for the first time since it left its moorings in Saint-Nazaire last November, Celebrity Ascent is returning to Europe this summer. Now’s your chance to be among the first to sail on our newest Edge Series ship as it visits some of the most popular destinations on the Mediterranean including Barcelona, Nice, Santa Margherita, Florence/Pisa, Rome, and Naples. Choose from 7- to 12-night sailings, with some itineraries staying overnight in Florence/Pisa, giving you even more time to explore the famous Tuscany region of Italy.

Just think of it: You, stunning Celebrity Ascent, and the best of Europe. And there’s still time to brush up on your languages.

In our latest Captain’s Club Member Spotlight, we learn what drew longtime cruise fans Mike and Dixie Scudiero to Celebrity Cruises for a vacation to the Bahamas aboard Celebrity Summit—and why they now have three more escapes booked this year.

Mike and Dixie Scudiero were longtime fans of Royal Caribbean International when they began hearing about the elevated experiences aboard Celebrity Cruises from friends. When they learned that their Diamond status with Royal Caribbean’s Crown and Anchor Society would give them Elite status with Celebrity, they knew they had to give it a try—and were thrilled with their experience.

The police union organizer and retired teacher enjoyed their first Celebrity sailing in February on Celebrity Summit. The four-day itinerary left Miami for Bimini and Nassau in the Bahamas. “Bimini is one of our favorite stops, and we liked that Summit was headed there on this President’s Day weekend sailing. Our friends, Troy and Heather, who talked us into trying the brand, joined us,” shared Mike.

They were hooked from that first short journey. They quickly booked a second Celebrity cruise, treating their kids to a vacation aboard Celebrity Silhouette the very next month. Now, they have three more bookings over the next year—one on Celebrity Equinox, and two on Celebrity Beyond, visiting Aruba and Curacao on one and Bimini and Cozumel on the other.

“Royal Caribbean is what brought us to the dance because they sail from Port Canaveral, near our home. We truly enjoy both brands and depending on the itinerary, whether the ship is new, or who might be joining us on a particular cruise, we love having different options that come with choosing one or the other,” said Mike.

On that first trip in February, they booked the specialty dining package and enjoyed meals at Tuscan Grille and Le Petit Chef. In March, with their children by their sides, they visited the same restaurants as well as indulged in meals at Murano and Lawn Club, calling each dining venue wonderful and deserving of future visits. They were especially impressed with Le Petit Chef, naming it the most unique meal they’ve had to date on a cruise. “It was fun, the service was great, and the food was perfect. It was so enjoyable in February that, even though we had reservations in March for just the two of us, we went right to the host stand on boarding day to get our kids added to the reservation so they could enjoy the dinner and show too,” said Mike.

Thinking back on their vacations with Celebrity—and looking forward to their future bookings—the Scudieros said that the tranquil atmosphere of the Solarium made it among their favorite places onboard, followed closely by the Martini Bar, where they loved watching the flair bartenders entertain so much that they planned their dinners around the time of each evening bartending show.

From immersive dining experiences to creating lifelong memories with family and friends, all it takes is one getaway to learn why Nothing Comes Close to Celebrity Cruises.
